Music

We create great sounding music in our suburban Grand Rapids, Michigan studio. Our niche is the recording and production of Singer/Songwriters as well as small groups and a single or EP is not a project too small.

Our studio is built around Apple computers running Apple’s Logic Studio software. Click here to learn why "Apogee" based recording sounds so amazing!!!

Our signal path employs an Allen & Heath GL2400 24x4 console feeding 12 channels of legendary Apogee A/D-D/A converters, some Really Nice Compressors (not to mention a Really Nice Leveling Amplifier) along with a multitude of multieffects for professional quality recording.

At least a dozen mic’s including Blue, Neumann, Octava and Shure adorn our mic locker to faithfully capture the nuances of the richest of tones.

Our studio features heirloom quality instruments including a circa 1820 fiddle from Mittenwald, Germany, a 1948 Vega Ranger Special banjo and a 1970 Gibson “The Gibson” F-12 mandolin.

For guitars we have a 1992 PRS Custom 24, a 2001 Martin BC-15E acoustic bass, an “iamgreg” Fender Telalcaster and a 2011 Gibson SJ-200 acoustic guitar.

For amplification we have a Mesa Boogie Lone Star Special and a vintage Fender USA Tweed Blues Junior along with a nice assortment of stomp boxes, pedals and a Line 6 PODxt Live with every expansion pack including the POD Farm Plug-In.

For drums there is a 5-piece Tama kit with a double bass pedal, 3 roto-toms and 5 cymbals mic’d up and ready to track.

Whether you are looking to record a solo performer or small group we have the experience, place and tools to create quality crafted music.
